My Experience taking History 2
In high school, history had not been my favorite nor best subject. I did not expect to be able to absorb the facts and dates easily. Thankfully, my professor does not believe in fact and date learning for non-history majors. Instead, she taught us the big picture ideas and concepts. Most importantly though, she taught us how events lead to other events. She painted a picture with United States history. I looked forward to her lectures. She was entertaining and I knew I would learn something. As well, she taught me how to write an essay in Chicago style citation. That essay was no picnic to write either. I have discovered that I am no historian. However, I was happy to grow from her class and am excited to have completed her second semester.
